Hurst Pretenders have had a regular weekly booking at The Triangle leisure centre in Burgess Hill since 2021, just after the Covid lockdowns concluded. Sessions take place on old-school school astroturf (with sand added, and a very short ‘nap’), come wind, rain or shine (quite often, all of the above). Whatever the weather, astroturf trainers are essential kit for staying safe and upright on this surface.
The session is 6-7pm, with the club taking up 2-3 small pitches (of a full-sized football pitch divided into thirds) for simultaneous games. This session caters for a broad range of abilities and experience within football, but those seeking to take part following illness, injury or inactivity would most likely find Wednesdays a more suitable level to start with.
Cost: £5 per session for every player. Cash only, strictly no coins.
